MUSICAL DIRECTOR

 

Bryan L. Wade (Broadway: Finian’s Rainbow [keyboards], National Tours: Whistle Down the Wind, Chicago, Three Irish Tenors, Regional: Brigadoon, Annie Warbucks, Always… Patsy Cline, Beguiled Again) has musical directed and conducted shows for New York Musical Theatre Festival and Midtown International Theatre Festival, as well as York Theater and Irish Repertory Theater.  He has conducted/accompanied over twenty productions in regional venues along the East Coast, including the John Engeman Theater (NY), Gateway Playhouse (NY), Capital Repertory (NY), Orchard Beach (ME), TheatreVirginia, Hampton Playhouse (NH), The Phoenicia International Voice Festival, and the Spoleto Festival (SC).

 

He continues to pursue other musical directing opportunities in the New York area, including various cabaret venues (Don’t Tell Mama, The Duplex), benefit concerts (Sanctuary for Kids) and Scene Study Performance Classes (directed by Jamibeth Margolis).

 

Dr. Wade earned his Master’s Degree in Piano Performance from Virginia Commonwealth University, receiving training there both as Vocal Pedagogue and Conductor (both Instrumental and Choral).  He earned his Ph. D. in Music from The Catholic University of America.  He spent a year of study at the University of Texas-Austin, where he received training in advanced orchestration.
